There are 6 stories. One story is the history of the Perth Library, focusing on the librarians who worked there, going back to 1907 up to today, and what it was like for them to transition from the old ways, a scandal that took place in the 1970s, and a tragedy in the 1980s. The other stories are about: The Rideau Ferry Inn, The Stumble Inn of Ferguson Falls, The Port Elmsley Drive-In (with input from the founder’s daughter, Laura Williams, and one of the former owners Jan Stepniak, a story about Sourdough baking, and a story about Water-Witching, with input from one of the oldest well-drillers around, Jerry Thompson from Althorpe about dowsing for water and old-style drilling of farm wells.
